Dress for an event: Sydney Fashion Weekend

Hi readers! Finally I’m back after a lonnnnnnnnnng gap! But as promised I’ve got a stock of posts from various events..starting with this one. I can’t believe a month’s flown by since this event already!!

I was bubbling with excitement at the idea of attending a fashion event in Sydney and all I can say is that I was truly impressed by the show and in love with the fabulous merchandise show cased at the event! I think ‘Shop’ magazine put up a grand show.

As for the outfit.. after brainstorming numerous outfit ideas I settled on a tried and tested glamour formula…

LBD- Designer dress sourced from Chamomile, Mumbai
Faux fur vest- Markets
Black slouch bag- Portmans (on deal 40% off)
Glasses- Maxx and Co
Red suede pumps- Le Vinci

I think you can’t go wrong with an LBD, fur, red pumps and red nails and a red lippy for working a glam look!

My dear friend M accompanied me at this fun filled evening occasion and that absolutely doubled the fun. Nothing like two like minded girl friends enjoying a glam fun event and some classy retail therapy!

M chose to glam up a BIG trend this season, colored jeans! She rocked the look with another hot trend- colored coats. Her outfit is the perfect wearable look for a winter night, teamed with fab accessories gold heels and a statement necklace!

Fuchsia coat- Forever New
Satin shirt- Cotton On
Wine colored jeans- Dotti
Gold and black peep toe heels- Random store in India
Clutch- Louis Vuitton
A model on the catwalk, showcasing a big trend ‘Metallics’

At the ‘Shop’ Fashion Clinic

The Fashion Clinic was one great session that we loved to attend. Good tips, styling demos and trendy pieces were enjoyed by all in attendance.

I captured some glimpses of the unique, colorful and truly fashionable goodies, I couldn’t decide if the goodies were better or the creative displays!

That’s us posing against the ‘Fashion Weekend’ backdrop. The look on our faces says it all doesn’t it?

Do tell me what you think of this post..I’d love to hear your comments!

    • Thanks dear ..I agree ditching the specs would have been a good idea..I guess I’m too lazy to wear contacts, although I must take the effort more often really..:-)
