Dressing for a trip: Part 1 of 4

Greetings dear readers! Now here’s a series of posts to get you excited about trips, holidays and family fun! This series had been in the making for a while, from shopping to styling, finding the ideal setback, posing, editing pictures and post production! As I mentioned earlier about the little family reunion we had in the month of June, this series essentially brings glimpses of those wonderful days spent together.

I hope its all worth the wait and effort:-)

This one’s on the way to Canberra, the nation’s capital. We had to tackle freezing temperatures and I’m sure the warm outfit explains this well enough!
It was fairly simple as far as outfit planning, I was eager to style my warmest turtle neck knit and all I did was throw in a bright shade to lift the whole outfit up-
I love how the fuchsia jegging teams up with the grey shades of the pullover creating a pleasing result!

This outfit actually reflects the colors of nature in Autumn- Winter…ahem..excuse me for being a bit poetic here but I’m sure you will agree too!!

Knit tunic and fuchsia jeggings- SES Fashion,
Tan boots (two seasons old now!)- Corelli by Williams,
Pink flower earrings- Equip

And to my great excitement, I managed to find the perfect earrings just a day before we left for this trip. They matched the jeggings so well and were just what I needed as an ideal accessory to pull this look together which is otherwise sans accessories. I didn’t get a great shot of these but here’s how they more or less looked like..

It was a fabulous start to a great holiday and a well styled one not just for me but all the ladies involved! You’ll soon see what I mean…and of course most importantly quality time with the family!

More to come in the next post which is not too far I promise….

PS- Yipeeeee! I have successfully completed a month of the shopping ban today and I feel pleased and really in control, especially because I wasn’t even swayed by ridiculous sales and looking at goodies my friends had recently purchased!

PPS- I will also share with you what’s taking up a lot of my time recently besides motherhood….
