Dressing for a trip: Part 3 of 4

Continuing the Dressing for a trip series…

On the last day of our Canberra trip, we planned a cosy little family lunch to celebrate my little niece’s first birthday at hotel Hyatt, Canberra. It was an absolutely delightful buffet meal and we were all pleased with the day! A visit to the art gallery followed by a perfect lunch and good weather, even though it was cool the sun shone on us brightly and had the endorphins working!!

The outfit was simple really but had a fair share of bling and shine which I thought worked for the occasion..

It was my first time trying on rose gold jewelry and I was happy with the subtle yet sophisticated effect it had especially when combined with the faux fur vest!

Cream long sleeved tee- Barkins (on 50% off sale), Faux fur vest- Markets (also seen here),
Dark plum jeans- Katies, Tan loafers- Wittner, Rose gold neckpiece- Kmart,
Ring- Lovisa, Tote- mother’s day gift (also seen here)

There are some obvious challenges while styling a look when you’re on a trip-
  1. I find manageable hair really really hard to achieve when I’m travelling, the only exception was when I had keratin treatment freshly done.
  2. In order to travel light it is important to minimize the amount of shoes and bags, as they are space consuming. I like this challenge though, this is where I love to creatively reuse the same pieces and make them work well!

Two distinct looks on the trip with the same tote and loafers
And now time to take a look at some family fun pictures-
That was the conclusion of our wonderful Canberra trip!

The next and final post of this series will bring you snippets and styling tips for some more getaways, so stay tuned…
