Dress workshop 1 : Mirrored prints

Mirrored print dress- Paper Scissors | Feather earrings- Equip | Red pumps- Le Vinci via Shoe Box | Clutch- markets

 Happy Sunday readers!

Hope you are having a relaxed weekend. I’ve been busily trying to get my family schedule organised now that we are back to school and business as usual for all! This applies to the blog and the styling consultation too.

So before we transition into another season, I’ve got a series of dress workshops for you to wrap up summer or welcome spring depending on which hemisphere you live in.  Starting with this trend, which apparently will be continuing into autumn as well for us here in Australia, the mirror print.

Less is more when it comes to styling this dress, as it’s got a lot going on with the busy pattern. I decided to wear something a little more unusual and edgy by adding these feather earrings (scored at a throw away price!). The pumps to match tie it all together with a common thread without taking the attention away from the dress.

I wouldn’t buy this dress as an investment piece even though I quite like this trend. Start off by buying a reasonably priced top in mirror print if you want to begin experimenting with this trend..

04I find that boxy or looser fits and flowing fabric are definitely more flattering than fitted ones, for this trend. I loved the fact that this dress had a relaxed fit with pockets too!
