Simplified winter outfits: 1

Welcome to a month that could be claimed as the coldest month of Sydney! While the world’s celebrating summer and the World Cup we are waking up to freezing mornings! Not to forget its winter in Brazil too, a milder oneĀ albeitšŸ™‚

If there’s anything that keeps me going in winter is lots of tea and lots of layers. Layers don’t necessarily have to weigh you down and wearing dark and neutrals doesn’t have to boring either. One tone looks can be chic and all it takes is some subtle pattern or texture or a bit of both.

I recently ordered my first ever Popbasic micro collection and I’m absolutely in love with it! I was always impressed with the concept of a chic, versatile collection at a great price range. I’ve styled some of their past collections and been featured on their website, it certainly was as exciting as it sounds. When the ‘Paloma’ collection, I ordered, arrived in the mailbox I was thrilled to see how well it was packaged with a personalized hand written note included in it too!

The grey pin striped infinity scarf is absolutely soft and versatile. The leather clutch with rose gold hardware is an exquisite quality piece with a striped lining and large enough to fit an ipad and/or other knick-knacks. The staple white tee, which is the last and third item of the Paloma collection is great too (not featured here).

In this look I particularly wanted to hi-light how ‘texture play’ can do the trick. Faux leather panels on the leggings and the light texture of the flowy top along with the right accessories, read: scarf, armparty, clutch and high heel pumps keep the look extremely simple yet chic in one tone.

    • Haha! Thank you Fab:-) Well, I can safely say that grey is actually one of my favorite neutrals!!

  1. Oh! This is gorgeous! I loved the way you draped the scarf! And the gre top. Generally I steer away from grey & black, because thats what I lived in for 6 months and I am bored. But this combo is hot!!

    • I’m glad you got a new perception of grey and black:-) The scarf is fun coz its already a loop and therefore super easy to drape!
