Welcome August, you have been an awaited month for a variety of reasons..
This month marks my one year anniversary of being a full time working mum juggling work, home and my passion- ‘Klassy Style Files’. And it’s been testing times for all of us but we have managed to stay afloat! I’m more in admiration of women who manage work, kids, businesses and never give up on their passion. You inspire me to trek on…
While I speak of mums I would like to share with you that my mum turns 60 this month and I can proudly say that she has been my role model ever since I can remember. Happy birthday Mum, I can’t wait to reunite with you in December.
And the last thing this month, that makes ME proud as a mum, is the fact that my older daughter will perform at the School’s Instrumental Festival at Sydney Opera House tomorrow. It is amazing to see when hard work pays off and the goals that were set at the beginning of the year are actually being achieved!Spotty knit sweater- Stellino | Black jeggings- Sussan | Faux suede boots- Novo | Tassel necklace – Jcrew (purchased in Atlanta, US) | Sunglasses- Tommy Hilfiger at Specsaver Avishka wears- Sweater- Country Road kids | Jeggings- Old Navy | Shoes- Polo Ralph Lauren kids
So I’ve taken the opportunity in this significant month to streamline my blogging agenda. I’m thankful that I have so many blogs and businesses that constantly inspire me. It leaves me amazed as the people behind these work hard day in and day out to make a mark, to produce extraordinary content and their blogs appear to run like a ‘well oiled machine’. I decided its time to pick up my game and to turn the inspiration into action.
This is my first post in what will be a stylist’s pick of the month. Every month I will present to you a fabulous piece of clothing and an accessory by a new or well-loved brand. The idea is to introduce you to something that will be a great addition to your wardrobe and make your outfits stand out. This month’s pick is – STELLINO. A Newtown, Sydney based boutique that stocks up on trendy, classy labels and designer wear. They also regularly exhibit at Glebe and Bondi markets. I picked up this gorgeous spotty knit sweater at one of the fairs at our local park.
The fabric constitution is 35%Wool and 65%Acrylic . It is very warm, fits like a dream and washes well in the wool wash machine cycle. The colours work really well with other neutrals and you can even throw an a grey patterned scarf for a bit of fun pattern clash. I paired it with black jeggings, faux suede tall boots along with a long tassel necklace.
For more trendy pieces be sure to check their Facebook page and if you are a Sydneysider, visit their store or market stall for fabulous quality pieces that will give your outfit a pretty, classic twist or pick a print with boho-chic vibes. You can also follow them on Instagram to see how STELLINO pieces are worn by their lovely customers:)
